As a Senoia maternity photographer, I loved the fact that this sweet family wanted to have their maternity session right down town in our quaint and historical city. Spring time in Georgia can be beautiful with all of the flowers and trees in bloom, but it can also be a little tricky. Sometimes it’s windy, and sometimes it’s rainy, but every once in a while you get a gorgeous evening like we had. We scheduled our session for later in the week, but then we needed to dodge a week of rain showers as well as try and get this session done before this couple’s babymoon as well.
We met in downtown Senoia during golden hour, and we had a great time capturing some fun memories before this family welcomes their second baby. Their adorable son, Graham (don’t you just LOVE that name?) wasn’t sure about having photos taken in the beginning, but he warmed right up, and I had fun chasing him around with his Mom and Dad. Sometimes, actually a lot of the time, I wish I had the energy of a toddler! We took some posed shots, but we also enjoyed capturing some candid moments that just happened naturally. I love offering both options to families and just being open to documenting life as it happens.
UPDATE: This family has just welcomed their second son, and adorable Graham is the best big brother ever! I’m sure this family is head over heels and enjoying all those new baby snuggles. I hope that they are adjusting well and settling in as a new family of four.
