Happy Birth Photography Day!- What This Job Means to Me

Happy Birth Photography Day! (October (10th month= 10cm) 9th (9 months))

I’d like to take this time to reflect on the births that I’ve been honored to be a part of over the passed year and a half. I’ve seen some amazing women during there most vulnerable, their bravest and what I can only imagine as their most beautiful moments.

I’ve seen husbands, partners and doulas support, encourage and hold space for these women in the most powerful way. I’ve seen midwives, OBs and nurses remind women of how equipped and capable they are.

I’ve photographed in hospitals, birth centers and homes.

Each time I’ve seen new life enter this world and make it a better place than it was just moments before. I’ve heard first cries, seen first embraces, first feeds and first introductions to families, siblings and friends.

Thank you to all of my clients for allowing me to capture these moments. Thank you for allowing your birth stories to be told. It is truly an honor to get to do what I LOVE SO MUCH.
